The gaming community has been shaken by a recent controversy involving Kick streamer Riotlol, whose content has come under fire for its disturbing and illegal content on Kick. This uproar was ignited after YouTuber SomethingAboutChickens released a revealing video on their channel, shedding light on Riotlol's questionable and illegal behavior on his stream.

Riotlol's Content

Riotlol's streams have been a source of controversy, with many of the viewers thinking that the content is acceptable. In SomethingAboutChickens' video, it shows 20-year-old Riotlol, who goes by Omar, attempting to entice younger girls to sexually expose, or "flash" their privates on stream.

You can watch the full video here:

In the video, Riotlol is seen trying to entice younger women to expose themselves sexually on Omegle, the site where you connect with random people from around the world. SomethingAboutChickens details Riot's crude behavior. In the video, it shows Riot using the same lines to get women to expose themselves. The victims are unaware that Riot is streaming this live to hundreds of people on his channel.

Riot's chat appeared to accept this illegal behavior that was going on, even some members of Kick's staff. Some were even in chat, not even being aware of what he's been doing. Over the next few days, more details began to surface about the Kick streamer. In other videos, it shows Riotlol's interactions with other women that he's tried to entice. SomethingAboutChickens also mentions a private Discord chat, where Riot sends clips from women that he's exposed to an NSFW chat. As the video goes on, it details how some members of Kick's staff were in the chat, and not taken swift action to either ban or terminate the inappropriate behavior.

What Riot was doing was an example of soliciting and distributing child pornography. To be clear, this is NOT content and should be reported to your local law enforcement. Child Pornography can land you in jail for a very long time.

Gaming Community Reacts

The community's reaction was swift and decisive, with countless streamers condemning Riot's behavior. Calls for accountability and consequences echoed on X and other social media platforms. Here are some reactions to SomethingAboutChickens YouTube video:

"This is another pivotal moment in Kick's history," streamer PIKE said in a tweet. "How they handle this situation is going to be telling."

"Coming from a phase 2 kick partner, this dude needs a permanent ban," Kick streamer KCP Crowegamingg said on X, formerly known as Twitter. KCP Crowegamingg is in phase two Kick partner on the platform.

Surprisingly, Riotlol has deleted all of his social media platforms, including Kick. While this decision effectively removed him from the public eye, it also fueled speculation and further fueled the intensity of the controversy. Many questioned the motives behind Riot's actions, debating whether it was an attempt to evade accountability or a genuine acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

The aftermath of this controversy has prompted broader conversations within the gaming community about the responsibility of content creators and the role of platforms in monitoring and regulating content. There is a growing agreeance that greater transparency and accountability are needed to ensure the safety and well-being of audiences, particularly in an environment where influencers wield significant influence and reach.

As of this post, a member of Kick staff was terminated after the controversy and Riotlol is permanently banned from the streaming platform.

Level Up has tried to find a way to contact Riotlol to get his side of the story. But we have not heard back. We will update this blog as soon as it is available.

Notes on Riotlol's conduct on stream

Child Pornography and exploitation are abhorrent crimes that demand immediate action. If you are streaming on platforms and come across any content that depicts or promotes the sexual exploitation of children, it's crucial to report it ASAP. There are tools for Kick and Twitch to report such crimes.

  • Contact law enforcement. If you come across any material that involves the sexual abuse or exploitation of children, the first step is to report it to law enforcement.

  • Use Reporting Hotlines: Many countries have dedicated hotlines for reporting child exploitation and abuse. Organizations like the Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the U.S. provide hotlines and online reporting tools for reporting suspected child exploitation. These hotlines are staffed by professionals who can guide you through the reporting process.

  • Support Victims: If you suspect that someone you know is being exploited or abused, offer them your support and encourage them to seek help from a trusted adult or authority figure. Let them know that they are not alone and that there are people who can help them escape from dangerous situations.

Reporting child pornography and exploitation is not only a moral imperative but also a legal obligation. By taking swift action to report such content, you play a crucial role in safeguarding children from harm and holding perpetrators accountable for their actions. Together, we can work towards creating a safer online environment for all children.

Twitch Policy on Inappropriate Content

The platform defines inappropriate content as anything that violates its Community Guidelines, which encompass a wide range of behaviors, including harassment, hate speech, nudity, violence, and more. Twitch's guidelines aim to promote inclusivity, diversity, and respect among its community members.

This means streamers are expected to adhere to certain standards of behavior while broadcasting. Content creators must be mindful of their language, actions, and the overall atmosphere they cultivate during streams. Additionally, Twitch employs moderators and automated systems to monitor streams and chat rooms for any violations of its guidelines.

Kick's Policy on Inappropriate Content

Similarly, Kick Streaming, a rising star in the streaming landscape, places a strong emphasis on maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for its users. The platform's policies prohibit any content that is discriminatory, explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate. Kick Streaming's guidelines aim to foster a community where individuals feel respected, valued, and free from harassment or discrimination.

Like Twitch, Kick Streaming relies on a combination of human moderation and automated tools to enforce its content policies. Streamers are expected to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and take proactive measures to ensure that their content aligns with Kick Streaming's standards.

Remember, your community depends on how you behave on stream. If you are saying or doing inappropriate things for content, that's how your community will see you. And that could lead to serious damage to credibility and trustworthiness. Your job as a streamer is to ensure the rules are being followed and correct behavior as warranted.

Consequences of Violating Content Policies

Both Twitch and Kick Streaming take violations of their content policies seriously and have established consequences for offenders. Depending on the severity of the violation, consequences can range from warnings and temporary suspensions to permanent bans from the platform.

Account suspension or ban is a significant deterrent for content creators, as it can not only disrupt their ability to stream but also impact their reputation within the community. Therefore, streamers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with platform guidelines and take proactive steps to create a positive and inclusive environment for their audience.

Twitch and Kick Streaming are committed to providing a safe and respectful online environment for their users. By enforcing strict policies on inappropriate content and implementing consequences for violations, these platforms aim to foster communities where individuals can engage in enjoyable and meaningful experiences without fear of harassment or discrimination. As content creators, it is essential to uphold these standards and contribute to building a positive online community for all.
