Collaborations between influencers and brands are common in the streaming community. However, what happens when these collaborations turn sour, literally? This is the case with F3 Energy, a food and beverage company that's finding itself under fire after sending what appeared to be moldy and squished cookies to Kick Streamer LauraThaExplora.

The incident unfolded when she took to Twitter to share a disturbing discovery - a video showcasing cookies allegedly sent by F3 Energy that were covered in mold. The tweet quickly gained traction, drawing attention to the potential health hazard posed by the contaminated snacks:

What made the situation even more alarming was her revelation that her son had almost consumed one of the moldy cookies. The incident sparked outrage among her followers and the online community at large, with many expressing concern for the safety of consumers who may have received similar products from F3 Energy.

In what seems to be a response to the growing backlash, F3 Energy took swift action by terminating LauraThaExplora's affiliate status with the company and removing her roles on their Discord server.

In a statement sent to Level Up, Otterson, who's a big fan of LauraThaExplora emphasized the seriousness of the incident:

My personal opinion though is that f3 is handling this extremely poorly - A mother made a tweet saying shes upset her child ate a moldy product from a brand she represents, the brand responds by banning her. Not a good look.

As Ottrson pointed out, the company's actions risked alienating both of its customers and supporters of the influencer.

Despite the outcry, F3 Energy appears to have solved the incident, offering a refund to the streamer.

Harrison Rogers is the CEO of F3 Energy. He says that they are looking into what caused the spoilage. While the company did release a statement addressing the incident, it failed to address its decision to cut ties with LauraThaExplora.

As of now, Level Up has reached out to F3 Energy for further clarification and additional information on this incident but has not yet received a response. We will continue to update this blog post as more details emerge and await F3 Energy's statement on the matter.

At last check, the gaming community is pushing for the company to remedy the situation.

In the meantime, this incident serves as a cautionary tale for brands navigating the complex landscape of influencer partnerships. In today's streaming community, transparency and accountability are paramount. Companies must prioritize the safety and well-being of their consumers above all else. Failure to do so can result in irreparable damage to both reputation and trust.

If you find something is wrong with a company's product, you can report it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
